Results- 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗩 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 – 𝟭𝟵 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗩 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 – 𝟭𝟵 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Barton on Humber held its first working test of the season for Novice and Open AV Spaniels, on Sunday 19th April at Elsham, North Lincolnshire, by kind permission of Mr Nigel Rowston.

21 Novice spaniels ran in the morning, and 8 Open spaniels ran in the afternoon. We have seen some fantastic dogs today, which were credit to their handlers, thank you to those who entered and ran their dogs, everyone seemed in good spirits, I hope you all enjoyed the day. Judges for the Novice were Andrew Robinson and Jonathan Nightingale, and the Open was judged by Andrew Robinson and Lucie Lowe, as Jonathan was suffering with an old injury, get well soon pal, you were a trooper today. Thank you so much to the judges for their time and expertise, it is greatly appreciated.

Our club secretary Helen Smith has worked tirelessly making sure everything was in place for today but had the chance to run her own dog in a novice retriever test, so Lucie Lowe picked up the reins and acted as Chief Steward on behalf of the club. Thank you both, and well done to Helen who picked up 2nd place with her Lab.

Thank you as always to Skinner’s for their continued support and for supplying food and vouchers for the first 4 places, their generosity is very much appreciated. Thank you to the helpers today, we say it every time, but without those giving up their day, these tests could not go ahead. Thank you to John, Steve and Paula, Sara and to Natalie, also thank you to the ladies who ran in the novice in the morning and stayed and helped in the open.
